The project thesis will involve the production of 6,000 words written report which will be submitted as an electronic file to Moodle, preferably as a pdf, and will undergo plagiarism checking. The word count excludes: the title page, originality declaration, permission to share, acknowledgments, lists of contents, abstract, tables, graphs, legends, references, and appendices. Quotes resulting from qualitative data analysis ARE included in the word count. Any report with a word count exceeding 6,000 words will have the final mark reduced by 10%. There is not a minimum word count for this assessment, however, the word count given reflects what would generally need to be written to document appropriately the investigation. You can use the template available in the link here as front page and declaration page, which must be submitted as part of the thesis.
Further information and resources for completion of the project report (thesis) will be provided as part of the teaching and learning opportunities included in this module. The image below provides a breakdown of how marks will be awarded within each of the sections of the project report / thesis.
